Imagine stepping from the cool night air into the warm bubbles of your private hot tub. A glass of local wine or a mug of craft beer (you pick!) sits beside you – a tasty memoir of your recent jaunt through Sonoma wine country. As you relax into the soothing water, you glance up at the inky sky, where an eruption of constellations twinkles back at you. It's paradise.

Welcome. Welcome to an oceanfront retreat perched atop a scenic bluff. Welcome to a place where whales breach in the bay, deer almost eat out of your hand, and seals sun themselves on rocks – to a cozy retreat just a short drive from the gastronomic delights of Mendonoma (Sonoma/Mendocino) and the bustle of San Francisco. Welcome to your dog-friendly home-away-from home in lovely Sea Ranch, California. Welcome to Abalone Bay.

Abalone Bay is both elegant and inviting, seamlessly blending unparalleled ocean views and fine finishes with the comforts of home. Step into our home, and you'll feel instantly at peace as picture windows invite the outside in. Classic redwood beams meets vaulted ceilings, a gourmet kitchen beckons, Adirondack chairs await on the ocean view terrace, and a private courtyard offers direct access to picturesque bluff trails. The master bedroom has direct access to kitchen- perfect for early morning coffee. The guest rooms have ocean and meadow views. We recently updated with new furniture, fine linens, and fresh paint.

Ocean Views:  Almost every room has spectacular views of the Pacific.

The owner's suite has direct access to the kitchen, perfect for early morning coffee.

What You'll Love:

Classic California:  Abalone Bay is pure, classic California sea home: vaulted ceilings, redwood beaming, skylights, picture windows, and a stone fireplace, all perched atop a scenic ocean bluff.

Eco-friendly Community:  Sea Ranch recently celebrated 50 years as an eco-community of true nature lovers. We  strive for low impact and small footprint. Our home harmonize with the breathtaking natural landscape. Natural landscaping takes the place of flowerbeds. We strive to use green products free of chemicals and odors.  At Sea Ranch, there are no streetlights or sidewalks. All house lighting is directed downward, so the night sky is clear and the stars bright. Sea Ranch is so natural, you can barely make out our community from the road or the water.

Nature Escape:  We're just minutes from restaurants, markets and other amenities, but Abalone Bay is a secluded, quiet world of its own.

Recently Updated:  We recently updated Abalone Bay's décor and landscaping, for a sleek and stylish new look.

Environmental Commitment:
We have installed low-energy appliances,  low-flow toilets, and use native plants in all our landscaping. We use "green" non-scented cleaning products.

QUIET AND RELAXING:  One of our favorite things about Abalone Bay is the quiet and seclusion that surround our home – you can curl up with a good book or play a board game, with only the crashing waves as your soundtrack. You'll also love relaxing in our hot tub, kicking back on our ocean view Adirondack chairs, watching the sunset, counting the constellations, and walking Sea Ranch's bluff trails. But if you're itching to get out and explore, we have quite a few recommendations.
